Consciousness Explained Book by Daniel Dennett

In Consciousness Explained (1991), philosopher Daniel C. Dennett argues that consciousness is not a single, unified "show" happening in one place in the brain, but rather the result of multiple, parallel processes of interpretation and "editorial revision" occurring simultaneously. He famously rejects the "Cartesian Theater"—the intuitive idea that there is a central place in the brain where everything comes together for an inner observer—labeling it a persistent but mistaken illusion.
